Born: 25.09.1915 in Erfurt
nothing is known about his pre-war service, he most likely served as a conscript with Panzerregiment 1 for two years ,
was reactivated in the course of mobilization and transferred to Panzerersatzabteilung 1,
transferred to the newly formed 2nd Company of Panzerregiment 1 in the summer of 1941,
pursued the career of an Unteroffizier,
remained in Panzerregiment 1 until at least 1944,
returned to his hometown Erfurt and worked as a confectioner.
